About
Cory’s entire career has centered on ensuring all families have access to a quality education for their kids.
She started at DC Public Schools as a parent advocate, supporting families navigating the special education process for their early childhood students. From there, she joined Families for Excellent Schools and developed partnerships with hundreds of schools across the country looking to elevate parent voices and demand great schools in every neighborhood, no matter the zip code.
Cory later managed student recruitment, enrollment and family communication for the Public Prep schools in New York City. Under her leadership, the schools saw a 10% enrollment increase.
Her accomplishments include:
Creating systems to ensure seamless collaboration between network and schools teams
Leveraging key data to predict enrollment trends and plan for future growth
Memorializing a student recruitment & enrollment Playbook to dictate the rhythm of the year and all essential strategies
In 2021, Cory began independently consulting to support organizations looking to transform their enrollment and scale their efforts. She’s been quoted in the Wall Street Journal for her work.
Cory holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Maryland (go Terps!) and a Master’s degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. When she’s not creating trackers and dashboards or drafting playbooks, she spends her time chasing around 2 kids with her husband, riding her Peloton and doing crossword puzzles.
